Job Description

The Theatre Technician will be responsible for assisting in preparation, maintenance, and operation of theatre equipment and ensuring a safe and sterile operating environment within county health facilities. The officer will work closely with surgeons, nurses, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals in supporting surgical procedures and patient care services.

Requirements

  • Be a Kenyan Citizen;
  • Have a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) minimum mean grade of C- (Minus) or its equivalent;
  • Have a Certificate in Theatre Technology, Perioperative Theatre Technology, or related health field from a recognized institution;
  • Be registered with the relevant professional regulatory body where applicable;
  • Have a valid practicing license where applicable;
  • Demonstrate knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures;
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Be able to work under pressure and during emergency situations;
  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and teamwork;
  • Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the values and principles outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010;
